Course
Osaka Women’s Marathon Course
Start and finish at Yanmar Stadium Nagai, JAAF and WA/AIMS certified course
Qualification
Female runners who have met the following standards in an official event of the WA or AIMS certified race from January 1, 2023 through the date of application and to be aged 19 years or older on the race day.
- Marathon: under 3 hours 07 minutes.
- 30km Road Race: under 2 hour 08 minutes.
- Half Marathon: under 1 hour 25 minutes.
- 10km Road Race: under 36 minutes.
Rule
- The race will be conducted in accordance with the WA rules, the 2024 JAAF rules and the Osaka Women’s Marathon regulations. WA Road Race Label regulations also apply to the 2025 Osaka Women’s Marathon, which has been certified by the WA as a Label road race. The race results shall be filed to WA.
- For the traffic, security and race operational reasons, we put time limits on the checkpoints closure. Besides, runners who are markedly slow at any time other than the checkpoints may be ordered to stop the race in the judgement of the referee.

¥15,000-(tax included)
Entry fee should be paid when you pick up your number bibs at first call.

First Call
The first call is given at Hotel New Otani from 3pm till 6 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Bibs and other necessary materials will be provided to each runner.
*All runners must attend the first call. In any reasons, substitute will not be allowed.
Award Ceremony
Sunday, January 26, 2025
Award Ceremony will be held at the Yanmar Stadium Nagai after the race.
Awards
- Awards will be presented to top 8 finishers.
- Outstanding Efforts Awards will be given to the excellent runners among Japanese participants.
Certificate
Race Certificate will be issued to all finishers.
*To only finishers, records of 10 km, 20 km, half, 25 km, and 30 km are officially approved besides a full marathon.
Doping Control
- The competition is under the doping control which is conducted in accordance with WA Anti-Doping rules and regulations and Japan Anti-Doping Code. A urine and/or blood sample may be taken for in-competition tests which shall be conducted in a time between 11:59 pm on the previous day of the race day and a completion of tests.
- When runners are selected for in-competition tests, they are required to provide ID card with a photo. Please bring any of the followings on the race day; s student ID card, a company ID card, a driver’s license with a photo or a photocopy of passport with clear headshot.
- Participants in the competition are required to follow Japan Anti-Doping Code and shall be deemed to have agreed to be the subject to Anti-Doping testing procedure at the time of entry.
- Participants in the competition may be subject to violation of Anti-Doping Rules and Regulations if they refuse or avoid Anti-Doping testing (regardless of the type of samples including urine and blood) conducted in the competition, or fail to comply with instructions by examiner, or fail to complete testing procedure due to personal reasons such as transfer to return journey. Please keep in mind that if an athlete is found acting contrary to Anti-Doping Rules and Regulations, the said person will be imposed sanctions under Japan Anti-Doping Code.
- Runners who are subject to blood tests, whether for in-competition or out-of-competition tests, should be aware that they require compete rest for 2 hours after the race or exercise in order for blood drawing.
- Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE)
Runners who must use any prohibited substances or methods described on the International Standard Prohibited List for therapeutic purposes are required to submit the TUE application prior to the race. For further information, please refer to the following websites:

Privacy Statement
- The organizer and the host company abide by all laws and ordinances concerning the protection of personal information and adhere to the personal information protection policy when handling personal information. The organizer may use personal information for the purposes of preliminary qualification examination, preparation of the race program, results announcement, and delivering relevant information about official website, event operation and athletic sports. Personal information may be released to media including TV, radio, newspapers, magazines and the internet.
- The race is broadcast on TV and distributed its video on the internet.
- The organizer, the host company and the third parties approved by the organizer and the host company may post videos, photographs, articles, individual records related to the race on media such as advertising materials including the race program and posters, TV, radio, newspapers, magazines and the internet by way of operating and promoting the event.
- The race organizer may use third parties to sell photos and other goods related to the event as deemed appropriate.
- The photo data obtained from each athlete will be strictly managed by the Organizing Committee (The Sankei Shimbun). The data will be provided to the subcontractor for the limited purpose of publication in production materials (boards, program, and official website). In addition, the data will be provided to the company for the limited purpose of use in PR announcements for the competition, as indicated in advance by the sponsors, supporting companies, and other related companies. In addition, personal information will not be provided to third parties except in cases where disclosure is required by law, and will be deleted immediately after the expiration of the use period. Data and other materials created using the photos will be stored, but will not be used for any purpose other than as reference material for the following year or later.
Others
- This race is served as the Grade 1(G1) race of Japan Marathon Championship Series (JMC Series).
- The race is a partner race of the Abbott World Marathon Majors Marathon Tours & Travel Age Group World Rankings.
- The organizer shall not arrange a physical check-up for participants. All participants are advised to be well prepared for the race individually.
- The organizer provides emergency medical treatment when accident occurs during the race, but shall not be responsible for afterward.
- Participants from Japan must bring their medical insurance card (photocopy is accepted) to the race.
- If participants withdraw from the race after registration due to inevitable reasons, it is required to submit an absence report, JAAF=36 of https://www.jaaf.or.jp/about/resist/athleticclub/form/ with a reason to the race organizer.
- Participants must abide by WA Rule TR 5.2 regarding competition shoes.
- If the safe operation of the race is considered to be difficult due to the reasons not attributable to the race organizer such as COVID-19 pandemic or any other natural disasters including earthquake, heavy snow, storm and flood damage, the race will be canceled. Whether to make, and the amount of the refund of the entry fee in the case of race cancellation will be determined after deducting the expenses incurred before the cancellation decision is made.
- No refunds will be made for personal reasons after entries are accepted.
